2Room Magazine is a digital publication that shares intimate, identity-driven stories of Korean women living abroad.
I led the full design of the mobile app - including product features, interface, and branding - to bring the editorial voice into an intuitive, frictionless mobile reading experience.
🧭 Role -
> Led product ideation and execution from concept to launch.
> Designed both the Reader app(for users) and the Editor Tool (internal CMS feature for admins)
> Communicated with iOS and Android developers, providing design specs and assets, tested builds and shipping a finished product.
> Launched V1 (monthly publication) in Jan 2024
> Shipped V2 (daily article publishing) in Mar 2025, with complete UX restructuring.

> Goal was to create a modular, scalable system that could grow with our content library while staying intuitive and resonant. I focused heavily on flexible browsing of jumping from content to another by interest.
> Editing tool that is easy to use was vital for non-developers on the team.

> Curated Main Screen: articles are sorted by topic, tone, and type.
> All Articles View: shows all content in time order.
> Filter by Region: stories based on location.
> Keyword Search: works like tags, supports efficient filtering by topics and themes.
> Recommended Reads: suggestions shown at the end of every article to deepen engagement.
> Badges: visual labels for ‘Free’ and ‘Bookmarked’ content.
> In-app Editor: custom tool for admin to upload and manage content.
